Christmas 2024
The second Christmas on the December date, by which point the argument in most families had settled one way or the other.
A blessed Christmas.
The second on the new date, and by this point most households had settled the question. Some kept December, some kept January, some kept both and had stopped explaining why.
What interests me is how quickly a calendar change stops being a subject. In the first year it was discussed constantly. By the second, people simply said when they were having the family dinner and nobody asked for the reasoning.
That is how a change becomes normal: not through argument being won, but through the argument becoming boring.
Whichever date your household keeps: a peaceful Christmas to you.
