Christ is risen. A peaceful Easter to your household.

I remember this one as unremarkable, which is worth saying because that is rarer than it should be. A warm spring, a full table, a normal year in a normal decade. Nothing about it needed to be endured.

I have written about Easters here that fell in difficult years, and about how the form of a tradition holds when the contents are thin. It is worth also recording the ones that were simply good. A basket with everything in it, relatives who all came, an afternoon long enough to be wasted.

If your year has been ordinary, that is not a small thing. Enjoy it properly.
