Holodomor Remembrance Day 2023
Ninety years, and a candle in the window. The shortest of these messages, deliberately.
A day of remembrance.
Ninety years since the famine of 1932 and 1933. In a year when grain and its movement were discussed constantly in economic terms, on this evening it is not an economic subject.
I have written before that this is not my grief and that I hold no standing to interpret it. That remains true and I will add nothing to it.
