Knowledge Day 2025
The first of September, and the year I finished an MBA in the same city where I once arrived unable to read the street signs.
Happy Knowledge Day.
This one has a symmetry I did not plan. I arrived in this city in 2004 as a student who could not read a street sign, and this year I finished an MBA here — the same city, a classroom again, twenty-one years later, looking at business and economics from the other side of a career.
Going back to study as an adult is a peculiar experience. You are slower at some things and considerably faster at others. You have opinions, which is occasionally useful and frequently a nuisance to the person teaching you. And you finally understand why the professors in 2004 were so insistent about the fundamentals.
To everyone starting today at any age: it is worth it. Especially if you are doing it later than everyone around you. I recommend it.
