A greeting for a St Nicholas morning in the last ordinary December before everything else.
A happy St Nicholas Day to every house with a child in it.
An ordinary December, then. Shops full, deliveries late, parents complaining about the price of something small and buying it anyway, and volunteers filling lists for children's homes and hospitals as they do every year.
There is nothing to note about this particular morning beyond the fact that it is the same as the others, and that is not a small thing. Most of what a country is made of is mornings like this one, repeated until nobody thinks to describe them.
A good morning to your household tomorrow, and to everyone doing the arranging tonight.
